This is a book about 17th century culture and history with a misleading title. There is almost NO information about the effect of the Little Ice Age on history or on anything else. For example, the author speculates for a total of three sentences that Renee Decartes died because of the severe cold in Sweden (no proof is offered), and spends 9 pages talking about Decartes' philosophy. It seems that the book was written first and, as an afterthought, references to climate were inserted here and there, and the title was tacked on to appeal to an audience concerned about climate change. There are much better books about this subject. Don't buy this one.
