I was blown away by the faith that preserved Immaculee during her time of hiding and her escape from the Rwandan holocaust. It's hard to imagine the things that happened to her and her countrymen. War, let alone holocaust, has not happened in our country for so many years - it's a reality we have not had to confront. My faith was strengthened simply by reading her story. I thank God for preserving her life so that she could tell what happened - not only the truth of the events in Rwanda but about the faith the got her through. It's a powerful story.

Amazing story of faith
Immaculee is an inspiring example of holding onto faith in a horrific circumstance; very inspiring and uplifting in spite of the terrible acts described.

LEFT TO TELL
Wow - I loved this book. So much that happened in Rwanda in 1994 that I never knew about. The author Immaculee writes from her heart with a spiritual eye that sends a message of the love that she has of God. Through this horrific experience she teaches you the strength of the human spirit - her human spirit and how we can learn through the things that we must go through and endure. I highly recommend this book to read.

A great book
This is truly a great book. I read it in a day; I could not put it down. Written from the experience of a genocide survivor, it is tragedy with courage and hope. It is a deeply spiritual book and gives insight into how God is present during an unthinkable brutality. Although I read this book quickly, its message will stay with me for life.
